Höfener Alm
The Höfener Alm is caringly run by the Brandl family and is open from June to October. The "mountain breakfast" every Tuesday at dawn can be especially recommended.
The Höfener Alm can be reached by the Reutte cable car and then along the "Barefoot Trail" to the hut. Beautiful alpine flowers are visibile along the way and there is an alpine flower garden to the right of the top cable car station.
The Höfener Alm is especially suite for families, senior citizens and groups.

Säuling Haus
The
Säuling Haus is open without any day off from May to November
and has sleeping facilities for 60 people. From the car park in the valley
the climb is around 2 hours on foot. From the hut to the peak of the Säuling
takes about another 45 minutes to 1 hour.
It is also possible to walk from Neuschwanstein Castle up the German side of the peak via the Pilgerschrofen and then descend to the hut on the Austrian side.

Gehrenalpe
The
Sprenger family runs the Gehrenalpe - a traditional mountain hut at the foot
of the Gehrenspitze - from May to October. The hut is situated at 1610m
and can be reached via
Wängle and via the Reutte cable car. The walk from the top station of
the cable car is extremely easy and runs past an alpine flower garden.

The hut is particularly suited for groups, families and senior citizens and Manfred und Gabi are happy to organise family celebrations, group excursions and company events.

Lechaschauer Alm
The
Lechaschauer Alm is run by the Witting family and it provides a real experience
of life in a mountain farmhouse. It is open from May to October.

Füssener Hütte
The
Füssener Hütte is run by the Wagner – Leutner family from
Whitsun to October with no day off. There are 16 beds and 50 sleeping places
in the dormitory. No dogs are allowed.
Walking Tours: from Hinterbichl to the Füssener Hütte takes around 2½ hours
via the Roßschläg
and a forest track.
from the Musauer Alm to the Füssener Hütte takes about 3½ hours
from the Tannheimertal with the gondola to the Füssener Jöchl,
to the right over the Raintaljoch and a descent to ther Füssener
Hütte
(one hour's walking from the top station)
Mountainbiking:
Mountainbike track over the Bärenfalle to the Füssener Hütte.
The 9km track has no obstacles and has an altitude difference of around
750m

Salober Alm
The Salober Alm has a beautiful sun terrace above the Alatsee near Füssen
at an altitude of 1150m. The mountain hut is actually in Austria and is a much.loved
destination for walkers with beautiful views over the Tyrolean and Allgäu
mountains.
Musauer Alm
From Lechaschau or Wängel village centre the route heads to
Niederwängle
- Langtennenlift - Frauensee, turns left at the northern end and then climbs
in the woods to the Sulztal Alpe.
Further on to the Hahlejoch (chapel) and from there on a sometimes steep track
down to the Musauer Alm. Time ca. 4 hrs.
The return can be made via the Raintal and the Frauensee to Lechaschau or Wängle. Time ca. 3 hrs.
The walk can also be shortened with a descent through the Raintal to Roßschläg and then with the bus back to Reutte.
Panorama Trail and Botanical Educational Walk Jöchelspitze
One of the best activities in the Lech valley. Either walk from the stream
to the top staiton of the Lechtaler Bergbahn or take the lift up.
From the top station up to the Lachenkopf, through the realm of the alpine
flowers.
From the peak of the Jöchelspitze there is a beautiful view over the mountain and valley. The famous Panorama Trail heads down from the peak to the Bernhardseck, and from there to the Alpenrosensteig which takes walkers back to the lift. Time ca. 3-4 hrs.
Around the Plansee and the Heiterwangersee
The circuit starts from the Hotel "Seespitze" on the Plansee and
follows the shore sometimes close to the lake and sometime on a higher trail
around both lakes.
Druation around 4.5 hrs.
The walk can be shortened by taking a motorboat..
Jetties: Hotel "Fischer am See" (Heiterwang), Hotel "Seespitze",
Hotel "Forelle".
Stuiben Falls
A particularly lovely walk. From Mühl, past the Metallwerk Plansee
to the base of the Reutte electricity station. From there to the right into
a rocky gorge, where the Archbach flows through a number of levels. This is
the start of the "Hermannsteig", a well-secured trail past a number
of small waterfalls and then into the free air again and over a wooded landscape
to the "Großen Stuibenfall". Switchbacks lead up to the
Kanzel and then to the second somewhat smaller waterfall.
