Our Hotel Tannenhof
Hotel Tannenhof is now in the hands of the second generation in the Foidl family. An old and neglected farmer's dwelliing has been transformed into a centre of quiet and recuperation.
The busy hands of the Foidl family have fashioned a hotel where everyone can feel content.
The most beautiful part of the world, as Frau Foidl likes to describe it, is a hotel which has been given the accolade of three stars by the hotel association and possesses many small extras which our regulars appreciate.
A day in the Hotel Tannenhoif begins with a cheery "good morning" from the heart of our establishment Frau Stephnie Foidl and ends with a hearty "goodnight" from the man of the house and hotel chef Nikolaus Foidl.
BREAKFAST ROOM
Breakfast is served from 07.30 to 10.00 in the light non-smoking room with
terrace.
Sample the varied buffet with fresh rolls and wholemeal bread from the village bakery; freshly-cooked eggs - either fried or scrambled; different kinds of cheese or sausages,; juices for that morning burst of energy; a small tea bar with a selection of herbal teas; and muesli-corner with yoghurt and different sorts of jam
HOTEL
RECEPTION
World-famous sports events such as football matches, the Kitzbühel downhill
race, Formula One races of the Tour de France are firm favourites with many
people. It's even more fun to watch the action in company.
Our guests take pleasure in meeting up in our comfortable TV corner. But the area is not only used for sporting highlights. The apple-green seating area is also used for afternoon coffees, aperitifs or an after-dinner drink.
RESTAURANT
with BAR
Chef Nikolaus Foidl and his team cook for our guests twice a day - midday between
11.30 and 14.00 and in the evening from 18.00 to 21.00.
The menu in the Tannenhof offers hearty local and international dishes, which reflect the specialities of the seasons of the year.
The special tips which make the difference to a holiday (for example, which play is appearing locally or which brass band has an open-air concert nearby or where the most beautiful clumps of gentians can be seen) are best learnt from locals.
One fo the best ways to do that is to chat over a cool glass of beer in the hotel bar. It's a meeting place for Sunday morning chats and for holiday relaxation.
TERRACE
and GARDEN
The terrace boasts a fabulous view of the Tyrolean mountains, it is wonderfully
quiet and the sun warms the faces of relaxing guests. Apple trees, neat lawns
and sitting areas under the trees, the Chapel zum
Heiligen Koloman are part of the qualities that set the Hotel Tannenhof apart
from other establishments.
And while you are relaxing, you can keep an eye on the children enjoying themselves in the pool or in the playground. Meals - whether breakfast, lunch or dinner - can also be served on the terrace if you wish.
SWIMMING
POOL
A pleasure for young and old, the swimming pool was added to the hotel facilities
in 1982.
It measures 6m by 9m and is 1,50m deep with solar heating. Small but fine and perfect for cooling down after a day in the mountains.
SAUNA and MASSAGE AREA
The sauna in the basement of the hotel is a five-person sauna that can be used
at any time by all guests. A relaxation area and shower/WC are also available.
There is also the option of "Solo Use". The sauna is open only for you so that you can relax on your own and without the company of strangers.
The massage area is not hidden away below ground but instead high above all the rooms. When you are stretched out you can look from the window on the third floor to the surrounding mountain scenery. What better way to relax?
