Climbing has a long tradition is the Tyrol and, with over 6,000 sport climbing routes, at least as many alpine climbing routes and 1,500 bouldering possibilities of all levels of difficults along with a multitude of via ferrata routes, the Tyrol is one of the largest climbing areas in the world.
There are, without question, some great climbing areas hiding themselves around the Hotel Tannenhof that offer perfect conditions for climbing enthusiasts. The areas 'Kraftwerkwand' and 'Weiss’wand' offer limestone climbing from a level of 6a upwards. The areas can be reached on foot from the Tannenhof.
The climbing areas in Rieden are especially suitable for families.
